During mission 120, September 10th 1944 target Gaggenau Germany, the plane of Lt. Hampton was hit by FLAK. Sgt. Pipock and sgt. Seeber bailed out. Lt. Hampton was able to land the plane safely in France and reenter service in England flying the remainder of the missions.
