During the 2019 reunion in New Orleans a box was brought in. I was asked to go through the box to see if there was something important in it. Someone said that the box would probably be full with copies.

The first layers were indeed copies…but then…my attention was caught by the words ‘Daily Reports’. I pulled out a couple of pages and started reading. OMG we just found the Daily Reports! These reports hold information about missions but also about what was going on on the base. What movies were played, when was church, when were the parties, who got promoted and lots more. For me this is the holy grail of the 457th Bomb Group.

Enjoy the collection and see what was going on in 1944 – 1945 and maybe you will find information about your loved one!
